A few years ago, when this blog barely had a registered domain name, I experimented with expanding the site’s content and changing its direction in an attempt to be more helpful to my readers, straying away from a sort of personal mood board of EDC items I liked by commenting on submitted…

Holy cow, I have now been reviewed by everyday-carry.com! This is a true honor! My most respected two blogs are Everydaycarry and Nicklecobalt. Both of these guys have reviewed my rings, so this is the best month of my year! Thank you Bernard!

These are terrible photos of the first two prototypes in my “Constructus” series of desk lamps. They are designed to be constructed to the shape and configuration you need or want. All parts are modular and can be expanded to your desired form. Here’s the kicker, 90% of the parts are recycled, the rest are energy efficient electronics.

Cannot wait to see this in person! I have been a fan of Mayme Kratz for well over a decade.

I’m a big proponent of small businesses because they tend to have passionate, dedicated people running them and there’s always a personal touch that is hard to find elsewhere.

Kent Willert and his wife Emily launched their first series of carbon fiber rings at Refractory last month after…

Wow Nico, you are TOO kind!

It’s all about the details. This is a look at 50 fasteners individually chemically blackened for a series of lighting projects that I am building. The lights will be posted as they are completed. Stay tuned.
